GOP Doom & Gloom??

The Vice Presidential Debate typically carries minimal strategic value although it has created sparks in previous cycles. Yet every election step seems critical for the Trump Administration and Republicans in general including tonight's festivities.

The White House clearly hangs in the balance but is hardly the only concern Republicans face. Democrats already enjoy a majority in the House of Representatives but that lead could increase next month. Meanwhile, The GOP is fighting to keep its tenuous Senate majority intact while also holding confirmation hearings for Amy Coney Barrett in an effort to solidify a solid 6-3 conservative majority in the Supreme Court. Granted, the Democrats seem to have a plan to combat that advantage.

Bottom line, Republicans have much work too and ground to regain over the next three weeks or so. Even Texas, once the reddest of red states, is in play! It will be fascinating to see where the party goes from here.

I have seen how lately it looks like the republican party has had to work a little harder to keep its territory due to there being an increase in the voters for the republican party. I agree with one of the posts I saw in the comments, the United states has become very competitive (sometimes to an extreme) when it comes to politics, God doesn't want us to be secluded and uninvolved, to the contrary he would want us to be proactively involved in a way that shows his love. I believe above all, that should be our standard when voting and participating in politics.

The political landscape in the United States is highly polarized, and the outcome of the election has significant implications for the future of the country. As Christians, we are called to be peacemakers and bridge-builders, seeking to find common ground and work for the common good. We should be wary of demonizing those with whom we disagree and instead seek to understand their perspectives and experiences.

At the same time, we should not be afraid to speak out against injustice and to stand up for those who are marginalized and oppressed. The Bible is full of examples of prophets who spoke truth to power and challenged the status quo, and Jesus himself stood up for the poor and the outcast.…

Texas turning "purple" in the 2020 election was a surprise to some people. Is Texas now a swing state? I think not, but it is in play especially in certain regions of the state. The 2024 presidential election results in Texas will be interesting to analyze. Will the drastic swing to the left that Biden's White House has taken actually bring Texas back to the right? I think the higher prices of everyday goods like gasoline, eggs, and milk will be those "kitchen table" issues that cause voters to focus on the economy, which may play in the Republicans' favor.

It is very interesting reading this post, especially since it's been almost 2 years since the 2020 election. After watching what went down during the election and the aftermath of the election, not much has changed. There still isn't much unity between both sides and they don't seem to want to work together. Both sides wanted more power than the other, so it's always something that is interesting to watch.

Reflecting on this as the 2020 election has already passed, the republican party did not gain the control as they wanted the democratic party hold the senate and presidency. It has been definitely been eye opening seeing how the democratic party has taken over and handled thing. Unfortunately economically we have not been thriving like we were when Trump was in office.
