A good friend just informed me he tested positive for the Coronavirus. He is a nurse who was exposed while treating COVID-19 patients. Our medical professionals are on the front lines in this battle so please lift them up in your prayers. Also please feel free to submit prayer requests for friends and family members in the medical service. These are of course no the only people serving us at-risk to their health but wanted to take a moment to recognize them for their sacrifice.
Here we are in 2022, but the Covid pandemic is still wreaking havoc in Texas. I was recently diagnosed with Covid with severe and persistent but not life-threatening symptoms. My wife works as a medical scientist in a medical laboratory in Irving, Texas, and was infected by a workmate. She did not show any severe symptoms but transmitted the virus to me. I remember my wife mentioned a big spiked in Covid specimens they were testing back in January and February this year. Thankfully it went down starting around March. I want to extend my prayers to all healthcare workers that God will protect them throughout this ordeal.
I am wanting to pursue a career in the medical field, so hearing about the tremendous sacrifices the health care professionals are doing is truly inspiring. I know of the severity of COVID-19, but still, I wish I was able to go help and be a part of the people who are risking their lives to help save others. One of my brothers is disabled and requires a nurse during the day and sometimes at night, these nurses are risking their lives to come and help, my brother, during a time of worldwide crisis. Any medical professional or anyone who was not working from home deserves praise and recognition for their sacrifice. The only way that I can imagine doing…
I really hope your friend will recover completely from it, and the medical professionals have a huge risk during this period of time if they continue to help in fighting this virus. Moreover, we need to pray for them because without them it might be much worse.
It pains me that so many nurses are prime targets for coronavirus, but their work on the front lines is nothing short of heroic and miraculous. I truly hope and pray that your friend is fully recovered.
As a soon-to-be nurse, I commend the nurses that are treating and caring for the sick. I pray everyday for our medical professionals. I will pray specifically for quick healing your friend. Please keep us posted about his condition.
