Folks complain about the current political state. The fighting. The pettiness. All of this is true of course. But political nerds like myself love a new twist.

Granted, Rumors of Biden's demise were greatly exaggerated. Yes his early campaign performance was underwhelming but not truly puzzling. Biden is a well known gaffe machine so this was nothing new. Still, the party establishment (see money$$$) was souring on his prospects to the point that a self proclaimed social democrat (lower case d please) with a small but committed fan base put the party at risk of trending into fill blown chaos (aka the dreaded contested convention).
perhaps the establishment unifying to squash the interloper is hardly newsworthy. And the media will never dial back the hyperbole with advertising dollars at stake. Still, the Biden campaign leveraged a South Carolina victory into carrying 10 of 14 states and a delegate lead no one saw coming.
I find it funny that the politicials running the coutry act like some teenage girls in some innane high school drama. That being aid I would like Biden to win. He had experience ( unlike the previous president) and I feel his campain will be very safe in regards to returning merica to the Status quo. We need to ride out the last of this pandemic before we have any other big scandals to navigate through.
This political climate I also think has shown the false reality of some of the candidates fan base. For instance, at first glance the social democrats fan base looks promising. They are vocal on social media, and seem to be pouring in support from all across the country. When in reality, even though Joe's base was not near as vocal or as active on the media, they made the biggest impact during the primary elections.
